It's okay to be afraid

When you see a group of ants heading their way to take some fallen crumbs or leftover sweet foods, do you ever wonder about their fear of possibly being killed by a human? No? Me neither.

When you see a falling star at night, do you think it feels sad because it falls before any of its friends? Well, probably it is, but it falls anyway.

From the two situations above, you can find that they keep doing it anyway, no matter how afraid, sad, or anxious they are in that situation. That is the lesson I want to bring up at the moment.

When you knew you had been living inside a barrier that kept you from all the bad things the world could give, did you stay inside and live peacefully, or did you break the barrier and face all the nightmares? Yup, it seems pretty challenging to step outside and find yourself some trouble, am I right?

That's just how life goes, buddy. You'd probably don't realize that all of the dark sides of this world have been living with you since the very beginning and white-handedly found out about them at 20. It doesn't make sense how people easily disappoint themselves for not knowing such things earlier. It doesn't make any sense how people think there are some life hacks they can follow to make a peaceful life. Most of them don't understand that having a valuable life is a reward after all the blood, sweat, and tears they've lost to the war. Some might have the experience of losing their dignity, breaking their frame of mind, or hurting themselves to make a happier environment for everyone. All the jobs are sometimes beyond impossible to do, but they're all– we are all managed to get through.

Let's get back to a couple of years ago when you were just a kid who loved to run under the sunray and bought a cone of three flavored ice cream. Those were vanilla, strawberry, and chocolate. Nothing has more fun rather than spending your time outside, skipping a nap time every day, leaving home laughing, and coming home crying for a friend have taken your ice cream. Sweet times. Fast forward to the day you became a teenager, the only years you lived fully in black and white, but the 'love' you've grown along with your special someone changed the world into a colorful canvas. Dates, quality times, gifts, holding hands, inside jokes, and the same favorite things were on the top list of things that built your happiness. Those things got quickly broken down since you knew that no love lasts forever, especially when it comes to young love. The canvas was no longer in full color because the universe had shown you that black is beyond every color. It was the first time you'd realized that you were no longer safe from this world. It was the first time you had to figure out and manage things to go as they should without anyone's assistance. It's you and yourself ever since.

Now let's talk about the present. Look at you now. Do you realize how much you've grown up? Do you know how many times you've fallen and finally been able to stand up straight where you are now? Do you remember how you overthink, worry, and are afraid of the day you're living these days? God, there are too many questions I want to ask all of you because I feel so too.

Let me tell you. You are a much-grown person. You have become a person who would consider all the adverse effects before making decisions and a person who would take responsibility for the decisions they've made. You're doing great! You've survived the most difficult times in the past, so you have to ensure yourself that whatever will come, you will be able to handle that, just like the old-time, buddy. Nothing is getting easy, but you're the one who's getting stronger. If you're struggling in the middle of something right now, please take a break, take a deep breath, and let yourself think clearly. Remember that nobody lives happily without ever feeling sad because you only know the taste of happiness after you befriend sadness. Lastly, not everyone is living a beautiful life scenario, so I want you to start looking at yourself from now on. Be whatever you want to be and do whatever you want to do. Do not compare yourself to others. If there is one time you feel worried and are afraid to face things in front of you, it's okay. You have to do it anyway. You'll probably get distressed all over again, but you'll be fine.

Be strong for yourself đŸ’œ
